World
Education Services, the leader in international education
credential evaluation for American and Canadian universities, has
revised its assessment of India's three-year undergraduate
degrees.
This is great news for the thousands of Indian LearnHubbers who
aspire to do a graduate degree in the U.S.!
Indian students who have earned a Bachelor's degree, such as
B.Sc. or B.Com, with Division I or II from universities accredited
by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a
grade of "A" or higher, may now equate to a U.S. Bachelor's
degree.
Traditionally, students in India needed to complete sixteen
years of academic work to be eligible for admission to graduate
programs in the United States.
Dr. Rahul Choudaha, Associate Director says this initiative
will, "help students gain full credit for their Indian education
and save them an extra year of coursework, which some students
undertake to meet the requirement for admission to the U.S.
universities."
Prominent
American universities are prepared to consider International
applications for graduate admission from candidates who hold
three-year degrees.
Students interested in international education are encouraged to
join WES's International
Admissions community to share their experiences and ask queries
on a range of topics related to international admissions including
